St. Catherine of Siena Parish was established by the late Bishop Matthew F. Brady on September 24, 1954 to serve the growing population of the North end of Manchester. At the time of the parish's foundation there were estimated to be 900 families. The parish grew rapidly, however, resulting in the construction of a new church and parish hall soon thereafter. Saint Catherine School was built in 1959.
Our parish has always been a community with deep Catholic roots, profound reverence for the Eucharist and the Mass, and a history of supporting and fostering vocations to the priesthood, religious life, diaconate, holy marriages, and the single life.
This heritage continues today, fostered by thriving Youth Ministry, a strong Catholic school, and a renewed emphasis on evangelization and discipleship. We seek to encounter the Lord in prayer and the sacraments, deepen our personal relationship with Him in formation and service, and invite others to meet Him in love and hospitality.
We hope that you find a spiritual home here.
We are blessed to have you with us!
